What we collect
Email addresses (only if you give them to us)
If you subscribe to our newsletter via the email form, we collect your email address. That's it. No name required, no phone number, no birthday. We use the email only to send the periodic newsletter you signed up for, and we don't share it with anyone for any reason.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
Browser-stored data (stays on your device)
This site uses browser localStorage to save:
- Your theme preference (light or dark)
- Your reading progress (which lessons you've completed)
- Your quiz answers (so we can show your past results)
This data never leaves your device. It's stored in your own browser and is invisible to us. Clearing your browser cache deletes it. Using a different browser starts fresh.
Standard server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs that record your IP address, browser type, and which pages you requested. These are kept for security and debugging only, deleted automatically after 30 days, and never tied to identifying information.
What we do not collect
- We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracker (yet — if we add one, this page will say so first)
- We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes
- We do not buy or sell user data of any kind
- We do not track you across other websites
- We do not use "Like" buttons, "Share" buttons, or other widgets that report your visit to social platforms
Third-party services we rely on
Two services run on this site that you should know about:
- Google Fonts — for the Inter, Fraunces, and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Google sees your IP address when fonts load. We could self-host fonts to avoid this; we may switch in the future.
- Web hosting — our host receives standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and debugging. Logs are deleted after 30 days.
That's the entire third-party footprint of this site.
Your rights
Under most privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, India's DPDP Act, and similar), you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you (essentially: your email if you subscribed)
- Delete any personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Opt out of any marketing communications
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@seoschoolpro.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change — for example, if we add an analytics tool or accept advertising in the future. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
